Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman revealed the 98th Academy Awards nominations this evening, bringing excitement and disappointment. While “Sinners” and “One Battle After Another” dominated, “Homebound” was disappointingly absent from all categories.

The dominating films revealed themselves through extensive nomination lists. Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” earned recognition across directing, cinematography, production design, sound design, and acting categories. The comprehensive acknowledgment demonstrates the film’s excellence in all aspects of production.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” revealed similar strength with nominations in directing, adapted screenplay, and multiple acting categories. Leonardo DiCaprio’s leading performance earned recognition alongside supporting work from Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, and Teyana Taylor.

Other revealed nominees include “Marty Supreme,” “Hamnet,” and “Sentimental Value,” each earning recognition across various categories. The Best Picture category features ten films representing diverse storytelling approaches. The disappointingly absent “Homebound” represents the morning’s most significant snub.

The 98th Academy Awards take place on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony will air at 7 p.m. ET on ABC, where revealed nominees will compete for Oscar victories.
