Loong Air has introduced a new direct flight service connecting Chengdu Tianfu International Airport with Taichung International Airport. This marks a significant milestone for the airline as it embarks on its first cross-strait route. The flights are scheduled to run twice a week, specifically on Tuesdays and Saturdays, offering a new travel option between southwestern China and central Taiwan.

The establishment of this route is expected to enhance connectivity and convenience for travelers in the region, potentially boosting tourism and business exchanges. For Taichung International Airport, this addition brings the total number of routes to 31, of which 20 are regular services and 11 are charter routes. The Chengdu route adds to the airport’s growing list of destinations, providing more options for travelers from both sides of the strait.

With Chengdu now on the list, Taichung International Airport also serves Nanjing and Qingdao as part of its scheduled cross-strait destinations. This expansion reflects the airport’s ongoing efforts to diversify its offerings and strengthen its position as a key hub in the region.

Overall, the launch of this new route by Loong Air represents a strategic move that aligns with broader regional connectivity goals. By facilitating easier access between these cities, the service is poised to contribute positively to the economic and cultural exchange between China and Taiwan.
