In response to remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding China’s alleged involvement in supporting Iran’s missile manufacturing capabilities, the Chinese government has reiterated its stance on the matter. During an interview, Netanyahu suggested that China had aided Iran with specific missile components, a move he expressed disapproval of.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun addressed these allegations on Tuesday, firmly stating that China’s position has been consistently communicated on numerous occasions. “As a responsible major country, China has always strictly fulfilled its due international obligations,” Guo emphasized.
He further elaborated on China’s commitment to international peace and stability, highlighting the nation’s efforts to resolve conflicts and de-escalate tensions. The spokesperson underscored China’s dedication to promoting peace as a core principle of its foreign policy.
Guo also rejected the accusations made by Netanyahu, labeling them as baseless and lacking in evidence. “We reject groundless and unsubstantiated accusations,” he asserted, defending China’s actions and intentions on the global stage.
