China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks on the Boundary Question, as both nations work toward resolving longstanding border issues. During a regular press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun emphasized that both countries are in ongoing communication regarding their border-related concerns. The two sides are also focused on implementing the agreements reached in the previous round of discussions.
Currently in New Delhi, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is participating in the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. On Monday, Wang held a meeting with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, underscoring the importance of maintaining dialogue and cooperation between the two countries.
Guo Jiakun remarked that the general situation along the China-India border remains stable, with effective communication channels in place between the two nations. He assured that both countries are actively working to enforce the consensus achieved during the 24th round of boundary negotiations. This reflects a mutual commitment to addressing border issues collaboratively.
The upcoming talks are anticipated to further these efforts by focusing on managing existing border challenges and ensuring peace and stability along the shared frontier. The continuous dialogue underscores a shared interest in maintaining a stable and peaceful border region.
