China and Russia to Enhance Strategic and Maritime Cooperation in Bilateral Talks

China is poised to enhance its strategic communication and practical cooperation with Russia, as stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning during the visit of Nikolai Patrushev, Russian Presidential Aide and Chairman of Russia’s Maritime Board. This visit is expected to deepen bilateral ties and promote further cooperation between the two nations.

Mao emphasized the strengthening relationship between China and Russia, highlighting increased political trust, closer strategic coordination, and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. She described the partnership as a model of cooperation between major neighboring powers, illustrating the significant advancements in their relations.

Patrushev’s visit to China marks his first as the Chairman of Russia’s Maritime Board. During his stay, he is scheduled to meet with Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, along with other Chinese officials.

The discussions are anticipated to focus on bilateral relations and maritime cooperation, as both countries seek opportunities to strengthen coordination and advance shared interests. This underscores their commitment to developing a comprehensive strategic partnership.
